Year 5 listened to a piece of music called A Bao A Qu. This music is inspired by The Book of Imaginary Beings by Louis Borges and was composed by the American composer and DJ Mason Bates. The children created their own mythical creatures and then composed motifs( short musical ideas) to describe them. The music they composed was a palindrome ( the same forwards as backwards) as is the A Bao A Qu. Can you spot the middle point in their pieces?
